Just had to post this. Since it's compulsory in this house to watch/listen when Everton play, unless I go out of course, I've acquired a certain respect for their manager Davey Moyes.
Then of course on the left is our tennis champion who had a very bad week last week in the US Open.
Aye, we do product world class talent for such a small country and having two men I admire in one photograph has made my day!

subrosa,
I'll bet a few more tennis players wish they had a very bad week like that.
Ask your better half if that is Joe Royle in the background?
I will Brownlie, at present he's on exercise inspecting the inside of his eyelids. Grass cutting is a tiring job you know. :)
Thanks for the post on my blog, by the way. I wanted to say here what I responded there to your comment about boycotts.
No boycott and no backlash exists.
It was something made up by the BBC and other news organizations on your side of the pond to beat up Scots. It was as fake as the supposed change in Harris Tweed advertising, which also never existed.
One might productively ask what the political motivation for making up a non-existent boycott was.
Now, there were Americans who disagreed. Don't get me wrong. And I still believe that certain politicians behaved shamefully. But backlash? Boycott?
Pure fervid imagination.
Jeanne, that you so much for bothering to come and tell me that.
It deserves a post of its own and I shall do that tomorrow - that is if you don't mind.
Of course I'll put a link to you.
Rosa
An Evertonian from Dundee ?
You never cease to amaze me girl ...
Regards
TBD
Subrosa,
I don't mind at all and, of course, I'm always happy for a link. Thanks again.
Jeanne
BD I'm no Evertonian. Someone else in the household. Football doesn't do anything for me. Now rugby ...
Thanks Jeanne.
Brownlie, I'm told it's not Joe Royle.
I didn't forget. :)
Your better half is a man of great taste, in football and - obviously - in women.
Ahem Brian, I would dispute that. :)
