Wednesday's Morning Extra with Jim Murphy

For those of you who missed Jim Murphy's 60 minutes of fame on this morning's BBC Scotland's Morning Extra programme here is the link. (Sorry I can't download it as the BBC doesn't permit downloads for Macs).

Enjoy!

Thanks for the link Subrosa. He's no well liked is he? Quite a hostile crowd - his defense of the unelected Mandelson and the House of Lords was pathetic as was his plea to vote Labour to keep the Tories out.

Don't think he made any converts.

Excruciating, inarticulate, incoherent, stumbling, flippant, oily, ignorant, cocky, monotonous, ill-informed, deluded, redundant, tiresome and patronising.

The questioners appeared insulted and incensed by the dismal and dismissive 'answers' given to their perceptive and intelligent questions.

Scunnert - he may have made a good few more converts for Independence?

I think Clarinda says it all scunnert. :)

Aye Clarinda, a few frustrated callers right enough. Don't think Mr Murphy will be rushing back on that programme.

Although it's more than I can bear to listen to Jim Murphy, having sat through his railroading of the Lisbon Treaty at Westminster I can well imagine the sorry interview. Clarinda has all the right adjectives to describe this oily toad of a man. I can't imagine who would vote for him to be their representative in parliament.

Alas Dear Yorik, many will still do.

The Labour Party has built up a client voter state. These poor people have nearly nothing and whatever they have is due to the "largesse" of that Party.

Everything they have has labour tagged to it.

Just like the plebeian masses of Ancient Rome, they need the State's bread (and fags)

It was a phone-in programme GV and most interesting to hear the anger from the callers. But I do understand your reluctance to listen. :)

Sadly you're right Billy. Brainwashed by promises of money.

Jan the pensioner from the Borders. "Bless the cheaters and lies, they need a rise."

Brilliant.

Thanks for that link. Superb programme!

You would have thought that they would have had a few friendly planted questions organised for him...

... but maybe they couldn't find anyone.

If I were a Labour Party member I would take no cheer from that at all!

Plus the Glaswegian (I think she was) pensioner who stuck in and didn't give him an inch. Great stuff.

subrosa said...

Aye tris I was surprised there were no plants too.

He showed himself up for the useless person he is, over and over again.

Pure dead brilliant right enough.

Do you think that Labour will complain to the BBC about political bias?

Strange that the BBC could not find one friendly questioner, what was Glen Campbell doing? having a day off?

Given the reaction to Labours chosen one in Scotland, do you think this will push the Glasgow by-election back even further?

subrosa said...

Oh yes I do think so Dubbieside. But of course it was too late once the programme took to air to find any labour supporters it seems.

Glen Campbell doesn't do that programme, it's a chap called Graham Stewart.

Sorry I was not clear. I meant Wee Glen as a plant caller. He has all the right (or left) credentials.

Ah right I see Dubbie. Maybe Glen's on holiday.
