Thank you for the link SR - I do hope that the small print of the government's proposals are thoroughly scrutinised by Scots bloggers before the go-ahead is given.

o/t - can I tempt you to join in a Positive News Day on Monday? It's a bit of a challenge I know, but I see it as a one-day extension to Man in a Shed's Silly Week.

Hard to find in the Scottish scene scunnert, but it does go to show some are prepared to voice their thoughts. It's been implied I'm the only person who supports independence yet feels we need an open and honest debate about this matter.

Perhaps most of the SNP members who have a similar view are too afraid to speak out because they will be pilloried by those who, for reasons of their own, won't discuss it.

This is a subject which should be discussed urgently since Jim Murphy's announcement last week. Immigration and all it entails has changed radically in the past few years.
