Bob Ainsworth Gives a Lesson in How to Lose Friends

Not only has Bob Ainsworth lost his grip (if he ever had one) on his remit as Defence Minister, he's lost a long standing friend.

Peter Fullarton, who lost his son James in a bomb attack in Helmand last Sunday, said Mr Ainsworth failed to send his family a note of condolence - even though he had known the Minister for 20 years and his son used to serve Mr Ainsworth drinks in their local working men's club. Mr Fullarton became friends with Mr Ainsworth when they worked along side each other on the production line at the Jaguar car plant in Coventry.

Speaking on Thursday, Mr Fullarton said: "No member of the Government has sent any message. He knows my name. I am disappointed that he has not even dropped us a note. James served him in the bar. He knows the family."

Six hours after being contacted by The Mail on Sunday, a spokesman for the Defence Secretary said: "Bob sent a letter to the family this morning by recorded delivery. Bob wants to go to the funeral if the family want him to be there."

MoD insiders last night gave a damning assessment of Mr Ainsworth's command of his department following a week of internal chaos.

This is the man who, like the proverbial bad penny, pops up on television and radio to convey his 'sincere' regret at the repeated deaths of our soldiers, but he cannot take the trouble of writing to an old friend whose son has been killed under his watch.

He must be removed from office now. Not only is he totally incompetent, he has given a perfect display of his ignorance.

Rosie,
Do you not think we are being harsh.
Clearly the man is deficient.
He clearly is mentally impared. Should we not be helping him.

No I am an ass today.
This next 290 odd days to the GE can not come quick enough. That is the only way he will step down.
GB needs the support that lickspittles like man provide.

As an aside.....ave you seen the Times this am??? Oh dear they have the Gray report.

LotF, me harsh? Never! You know I'm always kind to politicians if I possibly can be. :)

I've just started a wee post about the Gray report. Finding it hard to refrain from using too many adjectives.

Ach aye, I know Peter, a sound bloke. Worked along side himself whilst doing sub contracting work in the Jag years ago.

...and do I know that cretin Ainsworth?

Aye, for sure. We had some fun and games with the New Labour ideology on 'his patch'. PFI and hospital for the use of Bob, wasn't it?

Practice safe government
and use a community, right enough.

erm, Mr Cretin sur, on that little matter of the Walsgrave PFI'd hospital car parking extortion and blackmail scam

...which you supported, by the way.

£2.7 milion profit from the second highest rip off hospital car parking charges in the UK, in the last year alone, eh?

...and not one brass farthing gone towards the NHS.

One more question, Mr Cretin.

Did you receive any financial gain during your consultancies with certain beezness fraternities or from the lobbying on their behalf that you partook of, down in Westmidden on sewer? within Westmidden's rules, naturally.

Mr Cretin's comrade and neighbouring Westmidden member for Coventry, a certain bent beeznessman,Geoffrey said those car parking charges are an outrage, recently.

This from a New Labour politico, who as a senior minister in the Westmidden cabinet, Paymaster General of the Treasury and whose remit was to be in charge of the PFI scams.
Aye, we had a fair bit of correspondence and conversational fun and games on that subject in the past, did we not, Geoffrey?
Caused himself and "Cuddles" to take a walk, did it not?

...and the third Westmidden member that's 'representing' Coventry just happens to be a Scottish comrade, new labour import, Mr Jim Cunningham by name.

I wonder if Jim, one of the lads, doncha know, remembers the conversation we had a few years ago when I paid a visit to his constituency surgery in Hillfields? When after a few minutes of conversation, he suddenly recalled where he had met me before and under what circumstances. My, did he learn that language in Westmidden or was it on the shop floor of the Imperial Tube works, British Steel, Airdrie? A closed shop and a Labour partei, comrades feifdom, doncha know. Or maybe Jim leart that bad language from the 'Street workers' out side his 'office' in Hillfields? After all he perhaps is in the same trade but he sells himself and does his whoring elsewhere in Westmidden perhaps?
Sent to Coventry I was by the West of Scotland comrades for my impudence then, before I physically sent myself to that place for a better life, only to meet and do battle with the same kind of knunts here.

Oh aye, I have the measure of the comrades and the Labour knunts,

a paracitical poxy running sore that forever spews forth pus and corruption at not an inconsiderable cost to ourselves.

Ah reckon a red hot sterilising poker will be of service in ridding us of this pus and corruption

...and put to multiple good use in more ways than one. Is that not so, "Cuddles"?

What a great comment wasnaeme. First class.

Isn't it strange how spineless labour politicians are when faced with someone of your character?
