This is the man who sent our fathers, mothers, sons and daughters to war on a lie. His lie - and he has no regrets.
Now he's been lecturing Roman Catholics at a conference in Rimini, Italy where he told people of all faiths around the world that their own conflicts and decisions "allow aggressive secularism in part of the West to gain traction" when the faiths should be united in standing up for justice and solidarity.
"This is surely the role of faith in modern times. To do what it alone can do. To achieve what neither a person, nor a state nor a community, on their own or even together, can achieve."
What does that mean? I'm sure some of you will understand it and will be kind enough to explain.
Blair stopped off in Rimini to grace it with his presence during his family summer holiday in the Mediterranean where he is a guest on Rising Sun, the five-deck yacht of American software billionaire Larry Ellison.
The pace of modern life and the restless search for short-term material gain in a globalised economic system constitute a threat both to the planet and to human identity,
His final comment to the conference was:
Ever since I began preparations to become a Catholic, I felt I was coming home; and this is now where my heart is, where I know I belong," he said.
I know where you belong too Mr Blair and it's certainly not as President of the EU.

So the man is finally unmasked as an aspirant American TV evangelist.
He is as unbalanced as is Gordon Brown but, in a quite different fashion although, they both share the unshakable belief that they alone have the monopoly of divine interpretation of the truth.
A better argument against religion within politics has to be Brown and Blair.
Their certitude in their personal morality, and disdain for human life in the pursuit of it, is diabolically messianic.
Lavender boy is just grooming us for the coming age of shortage.
Food being the trigger.
Has anyone noticed that this year's harvest, almost everywhere, is shaping up big time pear shaped.
And that's after a succession of bad harvest recently.
He's a foundation screaming front man.
Sorry
couple of typos as I was banging away at the keys through blood filled eyeballs.

different fashion although does not need the "although"
I need a "personal grammar compass"
You get what I was feeling?

You know, it would be 'offensive', as Mandelson would say, to suggest that there was any link between his conversion and any European ambition.
Mind you Kenny did say
"However, Mr Al-Megrahi now faces a sentence imposed by a higher power. It is one that no court, in any jurisdiction, in any land, could revoke or overrule. It is terminal, final and irrevocable. He is going to die."
"a higher power."
religion last refuge of a politician or scoundrel
That's very true Billy. Scarey when politicians think they're above us and not equal to us.
I'm delighted he's found his home. I hope it's based in the US.
Now funny you should mention that Incoming. Was talking to a farmer's wife just last week and she said the crops were weird this year.
Indeed it would be Jim, but at times offensive is the only route.
I think Kenny did make an error including that Niko. Was rather nauseating.
Mr Myxz;ojh;ygljhljhl,jhyv
A higher power, could that be nature or terminal cancer even.
In the Catholic religion, you can get forgiveness for your sins.
Such as lying...oh, and starting a war.
err . . . that's a new keyboard that BLiar owes me. Threw up on the old one after reading those quotes.
Dare say when it's fixed I'll be able to type up a few choice quotes of my own ;-)
I was one of those who complained about this poster, which now seems a prophetic image of what Presbyter Kenny would doubtless call service to a 'lower power'

It's a stiff field for competition, but I reckon Blair has creeped us all out more thoroughly than any other modern British politician.
Conan the librarian, has a point here

Conan, I wish it was so easy in the harsh reality of every day living but I do now catholics who believe that still. Good for them.
I look forward to what you produce G.O.T. It's always superb.
Isn't there a keyboard on the market that goes into the washing machine now? Expensive I'm told though.
Kenny MacAskill did make an error introducing his version of religion into his speech Edwin. I think Britain has had enough of presbyterianism to last the next 100 years.
Then again, religion does play a part in the lives of many, directly and indirectly and I wouldn't like to see it dissolve further. So maybe the Rev Jolly is right every Hogmanay.
Mmm very interesting link Billy. Thanks.
He does Baron. Wonder if that was even slightly influential for Blair to change. Now of course he sleeps well because his sins are completely forgiven.
Dear Subrosa
Blair is one of the most dangerous clowns walking this planet.
He will do anything and say anything for whoever is paying him.
If this individual becomes EU President then the world will be serious trouble.
He is firmly in the pocket of big business.
He is supposed to be a peace envoy?
When was the last time he visit the middle east?
He just tags along with any available British Government mission for the photo op.
I hope the EU wises up to him.
Yours sincerely

The problem is George the EU has a few like him already. They will vote for him. They like to keep positions of authority within the fold.
I wonder if Blair's "homecoming" included any consideration of the children being sodomised on a daily basis by the agents of the corrupt church he's joined ?
Oh Jim, I rather think Tony would prefer to blank that issue. He's rather good at blanking don't you know.
