For those of you who never read the Daily Mail (and I've yet to hear anyone own up to this offence), George Foulkes has decided to make further mischief by creating today's headline: 'Not fit to shine their boots! Outrage as toady Labour peer accuses forces of 'helping the Taliban'.
For George this will be splendid as he loves publicity, but it's not all positive. There's a wee gem there which made me smile -
After an undistinguished ministerial career - clouded by an episode of drunk and disorderly behaviour - he was given a peerage in 2005.

People like George Foulkes are best ignored. All he does is underpin the army's case. In any case he has been rather overshadowed by Malloch-Brown's interview in the Telegraph
He's usually ignored up here Howard, in fact he's rather ridiculed. More of a clown than a politician - although what difference there is these days is questionable.
Malloch-Brown's interview is spot on.
I'm off to bed now. Night Howard.
SR,
Lord Foukwit at it again, he'd give Obnoxio a run for his money in the Clown stakes, but I anticipate a rather poor effort from the Lard!
I read the Mail's article lot's of comment i.e. loyalty - wtf does Lord Lardarse know about that? We do not swear loyalty to politicians we do it to the Crown, be it Scots or English!!!
That said he's made a right tw@t of himself yet again, a prime candidate for assisted suicide me thinks.
I bet he hasn't the balls to tell the General to his face what he thinks; I can imagine the scene as the General walks away from Fatty Foukles laying on the ground a broken man.......Foulkes, Martin and Brown - Scotlands 3 stooges and clearly inept at their chosen line of work. QED
Mixed day here, finally heading north on Saturday - thank goodness!

Almost as bad as all that, Foulkes is a Jambo and brings nothing but shame on my wonderful club.
foulkes is a fuckwitt... and i've said as such. (yes... I use 'swearie words')

Be wary of Mark Malloch-Brown, he's one of these Zelig type figures who appears to have come from nowhere, but has been in the shadows everywhere. His official biography has the passage below which touches lightly on some of his work.
"Before joining the World Bank, Mr. Malloch Brown was the lead international partner from 1986 to 1994 in a strategic communications management firm, the Sawyer-Miller Group, where he worked with corporations and governments. He advised Corazon Aquino of the Philippines when she ran against Ferdinand Marcos, as well as other presidential and political candidates, particularly in Latin America."
Particularly Latin America...lot's of skeletons.
Foulkes is well regarded by the demi-monde of Calton Hill, where he's said to have a touching relationship with many of the young fellers there.
subrosa,
If you must post articles about this utterly contemptible buffoon, would you mind not posting his picture as well. If ever a face reflected the inner man ....
Morning CD, I rather like Obo and his ramblings. After all he discovered the post about low calorie chocolate. :)
Your humour always makes me smile in the mornings. Many thanks.
Safe journey home. Wet and erm... wet here.
Oh of course naldo, he's stuck his oar into football too. I'd forgotten that.
Free thinker, you can use swearie words if you like, I do on occasion myself when the occasion requires it but decided not to when writing on here.
I'm off to read your post.
Monty you're such a font of knowledge. Malloch-Brown has been pulled up by EU Referendum I notice this morning. His facts were wrong.
It's been such a long time since I visited Calton Hill and that was always in daytime so I never bumped into him.
Brownlie, the whole idea was to put you in particular off your breakfast today.
Did I succeed? lol
The establishment toadie who as each day passes develops the features of a toads arse, warts and all. The ugliness of this fat creep is reflected in his every utterance.
That would have been a perfect caption for my photo KBW!
Yet again, this odious oaf gives an ironic credibility to the Chiefs of Staff through his remarkably shallow and stupid statements. Does this blubbery little man not consider that the Taliban are NOT already aware that our forces have underprotected land vehicles - why else would they lay so many roadside IEDs - and by their casual glance in an upwards direction calculate the absence of helicopters? I don't suppose that Lord (heuch..spit,spit) Foulkes understands that his treacherous outburst makes the situation even worse by insulting those who are trying their utmost in the face of his incompetent party's failure to sustain our fighting troops. Montgomery was never on the politicians Christmas card list and he certainly made no bones about demanding (and getting) the best for his troops. Didn't we once hang perfidious creeps?
Come on people, lay of Georgie boy. Think how many votes the buffoon is worth to the SNP.
Every time he opens his mouth, which admittedly is too often, he increases our vote.
Keep up the good work agent Fooooks.
P.S. Subrosa if you like a laugh you will enjoy Taysiders in Space.

Subrosa, Fatuous Foulkes, like a vampire rarely frequents Calton Hill in daylight hours.
According to Ayrshire Scot, Foulkes was similarly well known as the 'Gobbling Boulevardier' amongst the young menfolk who loitered on the Ayr waterfront, in the wee small hours.
With the advent of mobile phone technology I suspect a recording of such an encounter will make it's way into the tabloid hands, if it hasn't already.
I confess to buying the latest edition of the Mail On Sunday on the basis of stuff in the bloggs ( aiding before the crime SR. )
I can report that the main articles were interesting but after about page 5 it was the tripe that one might expect.
'Lord' Bolloch-Brown had best avoid Westminster, Lord Prime Minister Mandeslon will not be pleased that he ignored the bitch-slap he administered to other Army smearists.
I so seldom buy a paper banned but very occasionally the Sunday Times, though I never get through it all.
The Mail is much the same as any other paper these days, but one thing it does have journalists who make an effort to do investigative work.
So many papers just churn out press releases, especially the Scotsman at the moment. Things may change, we can but hope.
