This happy looking couple, Sir Nicholas and Ann Winterton the conservative MPs, are to stand down at the next election to spend 'more time with their family'.
That will be the family who had a London flat put in trust in their names and then their father and mother claimed more that £80,000 in rent for it through their MP expenses. Expenses submitted by Sir Nicholas show he claimed £41,508 in rent and his wife's claims amounted to £41,584.
I wonder if the electorate of Macclesfield (Sir Nicholas) and Congleton (Ann Winterton) will be shedding any tears.

GOOD RIDDANCE.........to be honest I do not approve of any husband and wife MPs Can't see how they can do a proper job for their constituents or their families.

Niko I don't often agree with you but this type of person shouldn't have been representing anyone. They must talk a good talk which is a sad reflection on any political party.
The establishment of the past is only now just letting go. The new order that replaced them in the form of New Liebore has and remains the most "odious" in history. Their incompetent arrogance makes the Wintertons seem almost acceptable. As for The Balls, need I go on?
Furthermore, none of the thieving Labour crowd have yet had the slightest reprimand. At least the Conservatives are cleaning out the stables, even if the horses have bolted with their ill gotten spoils.

Outrageous they need to be done for fraud, I, like many, are sick to the back teeth of these scum.
I agree that Labour heads need to start rolling and Lib dems and anyone else that can be proven to be a trougher.
