Yes the win in Dundee delighted me, but the SNP have to remember that the ard of Maryfield is composed mainly of private housing. As I haven't lived in the city for 45+ years I don't know how they voted years ago but at least they've made inroads into a city now. (I never really viewed Maryfield as part of the city but things have changed since the days I attended a school in the area).
No brownlie, Dundee was the labour stronghold in the east when I was a child. I don't think anyone else was in loal government in those days. I'll do some research.
Of course before that the libdems had a look in but that was for Westminster and with Churchill using the people for his own ends. I must research the politics of Dundee over the past 70 years - you've given me another task now. I've ironing to do :)
