In desperation, to escape hearing the word 'Obama' again before bedtime, I had a browse round some of my favourite websites.
Courtesy of Alex Massie of the Spectator, (any relation to the journalist Alan Massie I wonder), I came across this little gem.
Having done some in-depth research (five minutes on google), I suggest that Gavin and Murdo approach British Airways and they may have some spare material lying around somewhere. (British Airways tartan above). Surely BA would do a deal.
For some reason the suppliers say 'restricted supply'. I suspect that's to avoid the common people strutting their stuff up and down Princes Street on a Saturday night, wearing the tartan of the Worlds Best Airline. As if any self-respecting Scot would!
May I further suggest the tories offer the new President some trews instead.

And they were going on abotut nationalism draped in a flag? And their attempt is...make scotland look even more parocial?
Aye, The Mc Obamas.........musthavebeen one of the first lot that came over from antrim. Is AM2 a rellie?
Juankerr
AM2 is more a "relic" of the old days in Scotland when unionist votes from grateful serfs were counted by the barrow-load.
Without making a song and dance about it - these days are past now.
Juan, the have a need to be noticed and they're having to go to the US now. Everyone ignores them here. Shame for Murdo, he just never grew up. He's a likeable person though. He speeches are pure heaven for insomniacs.
ooops that should read they have a need - but then you knew that didn't you :-)
