It's only a few days since I mentioned the runners for the position of Rector at Edinburgh University.
We all know that Lord George enjoys hogging the headlines, but I doubt if he'll enjoy the post written by Tory Bear (a reliable source) on his blog. It says as much about the labour party in Scotland as it does about George Foulkes.
I'll quote a wee bit to whet your appetite but please read it for yourself here.
Party elder Lord Foulkes has had a colourful career and is now looking to settle into a cosy retirement as a member of the Edinburgh establishment. However things aren't going exactly to plan. Despite being the first candidate to declare, his campaign has got off to a rocky start and has only began clawing back, in terms of impact, in the last couple of days. The campaign team is dominated by members, past and present, of Labour Students but it seems that not all of them have been fully on board from the beginning.
My fiver's still on Iain Macwhirter but we've heard nothing as yet from him or from George Galloway. Perhaps they've been waiting for the Lord to hang himself first!
Update here - speak about damage limitation plus, of course, the power of blogs.

Subrosa,
Good morning!! - it seems the good lord is receiving £3000 a month for introducing a company to policy makers which is apparently against MSP rules.
In view of his expensive questions on SNP expenditure how greedy, hard-necked, and two-faced can you get?
A senior Labour spokesman (Lord Foulkes) stated "The complaint will be dismissed".
Come on, Rosa, get stuck into him!!
Morning Brownlie. Wardog did a post on his Lardship's extra income so I thought I wouldn't step on his toes. He did it far better than I could too!
Did you read this article and the arm-twisting my labour on the lad who obviously passed the true story to Tory Bear?
Just shows the state of the labour party.
George,
Because I recognise nothing of your Westmidden trinkets -
I predict a riot and you're going to suffer........
CUNT
