THE FALL of the SCOTTISH BUDGET

I sympathise with John Swinney tonight.  Not only has he been insulted by Patrick Harvie (Green Party), but because Mr Harvie is narked because Mr Swinney he 'felt' Mr Swinney didn't pay enough attention to' spell out the numbers to him' until this past week..  Doesn't Mr Harvie realise the UK is nearly bankrupt?  John Swinney hasn't been in a position to talk detail since October when the UK banks crumbled under the supervision of Gordon Brown.  Doesn't he realise the whole of the UK economy is existing day by day?  Grdon Brown is clinging, by his non-existing finger nails, in the hope that something or someone will turn up and change the situation.

Then again, Gordon is a preacher of the New World Order.

Whilst I agree with Mr Harvie on his insulation policy (which I haven't read in any detail because I can't find it online and also because it possibly only applies to those on benefits), I'm so disappointed in his attitude about the outcome.  He accepts no responsibility for his decision and lands it with the Scottish government who have offered him concessions in past days.

In the past few hours I've had two telephone calls from friends who vote green.  They were actually angry at Patrick Harvie's stance (I couldn't believe it), and both said they would reconsider their voting principles for the next election as the SNP government appeared to be doing their utmost for Scotland.

In some ways I do think a vote of confidence, which Ian Gray suggested by his question,  (the man so desperate to be FM and with no principles), may be good for the SNP.  It's perfectly obvious that the SNP would have a majority and it would take a true idiot to think otherwise.

The only party with common sense appears to be the tories and of course Margo.  They're not a walk-over by any means, especially Margo (my humour).

Are labour behaving in this manner in order to ensure they keep the Scots 'down' and also to ensure that our taxes continue to pour into the Westminster coffers to prop up Gordon Brown?

I leave the discussion to you.

I am not in the least surprised. The first stages of the budget went over far too easily. Labour = snakes in the grass, but Harvey's actions were unfortunate, and a surprise (to me at least). I admire his politics and understand that he's trying to leverage the Green vote. He should've been more realistic.

Labour's posturing and strutting over this defeat is the very nadir of statecraft. Gray - a puffed up stuttering buffoon whose sole assignment is to assist Jim Murphy in Gaga's quest to destroy the SNP - warns of a vote of no confidence.

Note to Gray - bring it on.

Sppok how dare you watch footy when the future of your country is in jeopardy? Typical youth!

Scunnert, aye there's something going on here. Why has Harvie destroyed the budget?

Is there something for him if he brings down the SNP as labour think they can?

That's the only reason I can think why Harvie voted against and didn't abstain.

subrosa,

What about Ian Gray's motion of no confidence? Great coming from someone who looks like a nervous cat who's accidentally accepted an invitation to an orgy in Battersea Dog's Home.
Goodness: the WV is pupedth - honest!

Brownlie, Gray and orgy don't quite gel in my mind - sorry. He'd be so out of place everyone would behave as if it was a vicar's tea party.

subrosa,

Och, you obviously know more about that kind of thing than I do - must be one of the advantage of living in the country.
