Sadly, and mainly due to personal experience but not helped by recent high profile cases, my regard and respect for our constabulary has fallen to a lifetime low.
The thought of the likes of G4S entering the arena does little to improve my attitude towards modern day policemen and policing – in fact it has a negative effect.
If a grey haired old curmudgeon like me can feel such dissociation from our police force, how must some inner city youth especially if they are from a different ethnic and racial background feel?

This does not bode well for society.
Exactly JRB. Politicians, in cohorts with the police, have changed our society beyond recognition.
ReplyDeleteI trust G4S will be well insured.
ReplyDeleteWhat next - will we be voting for our parliamentary representatives on CV's presented by the same or similar providers?
It’s a probability Crinkly.
