Radical Muslims Loathsome Plan

Wootton Bassett, the small Wiltshire town which has become synonymous with honouring the return of our fallen from Afghanistan, has been targeted by muslim radicals who plan to hold a parade through the town.

Extremist group Islam4UK are organising a march in the coming weeks, which they claim will be in honour of muslims killed in the Afghanistan conflict.

As a PR stunt, this must be one of the most repugnant ever mooted. Using the people of Wootton Bassett to push their extreme political views is abhorrent and will do nothing for their 'cause'.

Should this march go ahead, I have no doubt the good people of Wootton Bassett will handle it with the contempt it deserves. I suspect they will stay behind firmly closed doors. Silence can speak louder than words.

Although possibly a PR stunt, this is the result of 12 years of a labour government. The silence from our political leaders in today's Sundays will also reverberate throughout the country.

Well said Ronnie, completely agree.

Oh dear Ronnie, sorry about that. :) I'm sure sometime during the day someone will disagree with you!

Glad you're back in the land of the living - although I don't think an old firm match would be my first choice.

Happy New Year to you too and remember to keep the eyes in the back of your heid open.

So who else is going to turn up at the occasion? This is not just a planned demo', it is an invitation to a major riot between different groups. They know than, most people with half a brain know that, and they all know it is intended to be a very nasty business. Pity the government do not seem to be aware of it.

It's a PR stunt Demetrius and a shameful one at that. Shameful because we have a government which appears to ignore this while they continue to fine people for dropping a fag end in the street.

This isn't anything to do with freedom of speech but it's certainly an example of how much our present politicians want to appease the islamists who live here, while our troops are off half way round the world fighting their religious colleagues. How did we get here?

Led by the hand by the US with a blindfold on?

It certainly would be interesting to know where there funding comes from Ronnie.

Anyone know?

It would also be interesting to know how many work and would require time off for such a stunt.

Dear Subrosa

This march should be banned from taking part in Wootten Bassett.

It is a slur on the memory of British Soldiers who have died.

These people planning it are deliberately trying to cause trouble.

This looks like incitement to racial hatred, a tool for recruitment by these extremists.

If this goes ahead I predict a riot.

I suspect that the UK Labour Government will be keen for this march to go ahead.

For political reasons.

Yours sincerely

George you're so near the mark except I don't think it will be banned. None has been as far as I know.

This is labour's multicultural Britain.

I don't suppose there's been a march for the civilian victims of Iraq and Afghanistan since the stop the war marches in 2003.

The Stop the War - No! Not That One! - Coalition marches in 2003 were most certainly not about the "civilian victims". They were implicitly the continuation of the Ba'athist regieme, and its killing of Iraqi civilians.

Furthermore, it's a common misconception that the StW-NNTO-C formed in response to the build-up against Iraq (which would have been understandable). It formed ten days after thousands of civilians had been murdered in the USA as part of probably the greatest single losses of life in conflict since Saddam gassed Halabja, and for some time before.

Some after this inglorious birth, it was firmly taken over by the same groups which had collectively failed to give a hoot about Afghanistan for the preceeding ten years, and went on to support the 'resistance' there and Iraq which were and remain the greatest causes of civilian casualities.

Then add to the fact that this current abomindation is Islam4UK, which is not marching to commemorate civilian casualities either.

Hello Mark. Good to see you and a Happy New Year to you and yours.

I think Rose Gentle has organised a few events for both civilian and military but they haven't been widely publicised. As you'll know Rose does raise money for military causes.

But it's a good point you raise. Maybe the reason is civilian casualties are not given the prominence because most are there on a voluntary basis rather than a compulsory one.

Excellent summary Alec. Thanks for that.

I should add that Islam4UK is led by Anjem Choudrey who, when he was at Southampton University, indulged in soft drugs and casual sex; and had a speed-drinking record for cider.

Sometimes a good lay and spliff really ain't the best way to loosen out anger!

Oh Alec lol. Maybe it's the lack of them which causes his irrational rage. :)

Many thanks Alec. I'll keep that in mind for a future occasion.
